Welcome aboard. Glad to have you. Don't worry about the age of your detector. It will still find great things. The important thing is that you are getting out. Have fun and we look forward to pics of your finds.

Welcome to the family - does not matter how old your detector is, what matters is how well you know it. Some of the people on this forum who really know their detectors can kick butt against some of the newer models. However like any detector - if you do not swing it over the correct tagets you can not find them. So do some research, learn your machine and keep swinging. Glad to have you back detecting. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your finds. Feel free to ask any questions and post whenever you want. Again welcome.

Smile Hi from Idaho

Hi,
i use to (way back in the very early, verly 70's) have a whites "gold master TR-63", I got it at a pawn shop. if i remember right,... i payed $45 for it. it came with 2 coils: a 3 1/2" and a 12". i dug a lot of good finds with it, in fact, "it payed for itself, and then some in good finds". would still like to have that machine today. mostly i hunted parks and school grounds. i got back into md'ing about 2 months ago with a tesoro sidewinder micromax...got it at a pawn shop for $55. sold it 2 days ago for $150. i will have my new "Minelab X-terra 30 this coming tuesday.
"GOOD HUNTING" "Patrick"
