Default First time here

Greettings from upstate SC,

I puchased a White's Classic III SL about 8-10 years ago. It has a Blue Max Deep Scan 950 coil. Due to health issues I was only able to use it a couple of times. Once in a school yard and once on the beach. It has been in the closet until now. There have been a lot of changes in MD's since I bought this one so how would this machine stand up to some of the newer models? It's just like new. Thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to hunting again.

Welcome to TQ! I think the technology on my present machine is 10 years old and it works as good as anything out there.

Give it a try and let us know how you did!

Welcome,

The Classic 111 SL is still a very good detector but you may want to get a smaller coil like the 5.3 Bullseye for the trashy areas. The main thing is to get out and hunt. Good luck, HH Bill

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you. Don't worry about the age of your detector. It will still find great things. The important thing is that you are getting out. Have fun and we look forward to pics of your finds.
