Red face Hello to everyone, Im also new to the Group!

Hello to all, my name is Fred. I have taken interest in the Detecting Hobby after reading sites such as this one. I have purchased a used Whites Detector Model CM 6000 DI Series 2 from a seller on Ebay. When I was a young man I had always seen people using the the Whites ,I remember the blue color. If I find that the hobby is for me, I plan to purchase a newer Detector. I really like the looks of the Tesoro brand, but as of this time I know nothing about them. I plan to begin my first searching, in local parks and places that I can find that people have done heavy foot travel. For me ,I guess my searches will be alone. I don't know of anyone in my area who does this as a hobby. I have looked for local clubs and so far haven't found any. I live in Bristol Tennessee, and on the border of Bristol Va. I can stand with one foot in each state any time. The line runs in the center of State Street. There is a lot of history here, so I plan to look into older sites that I might be able to search on, but I don't know how it would be received if I pull out a shovel and began to did holes on this treasured property! Well I guess this is enough for my first Post. Thanks for reading and to the owner who excepted my membership. Fred

Default Welcome aboard Fred

Glad to have you here! Anything you need to know is right at your fingertips. Thats really COOL cuz if you stand with one foot on each side of the state line you'll actually be in two places at one time. Makes me want to jump just thinking what thats like. Good luck & I'm sure you'll find a hunting partner.

HH.
