Default hey everyone, from albany NY

hi guys, im from albany new york, and i cant wait to get to hear everyones great stories and maybe even share some of mine sometime. ive been detecting for fun about 3 years and just this year im starting to get serious. i just bought a new whites xlt last friday, and the next day i went outside to test it and found a 1900 liberty nickel about 4 inches down. its a great machine! i also have a camp of willsboro, NY, near Essex on Lake Champlain. I havent gotten a chance to use it up there yet, but im super excited due to all the great history of the areas up there!

PS: i just ordered the bluemax shooter DD from whites for 50$ with that coupon from buying an xlt. How is it compared to the stock coil?

Welcome to TQ! Sounds like you are off to a great start. The XLT is a great machine.

Good to see you. I'm from Jersey but I own a place up in Cobleskill. Looking forward to going up there and doing some hunting.

Welcome

Hey Grasshopper - welcome. I am in the Plattsburgh area. If you ever get to your camp and want a hunting partner give me a shout. I would love to find someone to detect with. One word of caution - just be careful where you detect around here - lots of places are considered historical sites so make sure you do some research first. Good luck and like I said if you need someone to detect with give me a shout. JoAnne

PS There used to be a couple on here from Glens Falls. Not sure if they still are or not but maybe someone will remember who they were.
