Default Hi from Sun Valley, Idaho

Hi all,

I just wanted to say hello. I have been away from metal detecting for about 15 years, but I am seriously thinking about getting back into it again.

Years ago, I had a Wildcat metal detector, then I bought a Tesoro Silver Sabre and had a lot of fun with that for a long time. For an inexepensive detector, I made a lot of great finds.

Now, I am considering a Whites DFX. I'm still not completely sold on it, but I am leaning pretty heavily towards it. Any thougts are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TQ. I'm sure you'll enjoy this hobby even more now. The Whites DFX is a great machine, I had one but for me personally there was to much of a learning curve. If you take the time to learn it, then you will be very happy with it. If your not sure then I would suggest talking to the Sponsors here at TQ. They WILL NOT push you one way or another but can help you according to what kind of hunting your going to do & such. they are Great to deal with and are there to support you in any way possible. Plus there are a lot of great folks here that will try to help any way they can too. Just remember that no matter what you get it only as good as the person swingin it. Practice, practice & practice with any detector will yield the results your looking for. Good Luck & HH.

The TINMAN

Howdy from georgia! Good luck with whatever you choose. Just ask these guys they are the best. Chuck at Treasurehut.org helped me and I didn't even get my 1st machine from him . This is the place to be!
