Hello all.
My name is Kent from Houma, Louisiana and new to the board and to metal detecting. Just got it a week ago and have been working 12 hour days since. I have tried it in my yard and found $2 in change. Can't wait to get out with it. Anyway hello to all.

Thank you all for a warm welcome. To be honest I got the metal detector to try and lure the wife into it. I'm trying to get her mind off of the news and whats going on in Bagdad. (our younest is in the Army there).
I do have a question though. Not sure if here is the place for it but here goes. I've lived here all my life but know very little history of this area. I've done a search of My town and parish but have found very little old History. What would be the best way to get this info? Thanks in advance. Kent
