Default Hello From FLA

Hello Everyone,

Just thought I would take a minute and pop in to introduce myself. My name is Ken (ktreffin) and I am brand new to the hobby (art) of Metal Detecting. I have found this site to be filled with a lot of helpful information, and have learned a lot in my short time of being here.

I haven't yet ordered my MD yet, however I am pretty confident that I will be going with the Garrett Ace 250. From everything I have read, it seems that it will be a great way to introduce me to the hobby and get a few finds under my belt.

I am hoping to "meet" everyone soon, and look forward to participating in these forums. Thanks.

Ktreffin
AKA Ken

Welcome to TQ, Ken; the Ace 250 is a great choice and it works well on dry sand beaches, too.

I visit FL several times a year; Port St. Lucie; maybe we'll meet some day!

Ya never know

Welcome to the finest Treasure forum on Earth, Ken! I hope to chat to you and I'm glad you are getting into the metal detecting hobby. The Ace 250 is a great starter detector and for that matter even the experienced like it. But there are many makes and models to choose from Ken. Ok God Bless and good to have ya!
