hi i,m bob from sturgis mi., and if someone would answer a question for me, it would be great . i've been out of detecting for about 23 years now, but i use to have a whites 5000d that i found over 2000 pre 64 silver coins with. i plan on getting a used whites and like to know if the 6000d is any better than the 5000d? thanks in advance. bob

the 6000 xl pro is great on coins. they renamed it just xl pro. but its a 6000.
the analog meter is one of the best out there. whites stoped making them. but some come up for sale now and then. but it seems the people who have them arnt giving them up.

Depends on the 6000 you are talking about but they should all outdo a 5000. I wouldn't go with anything older than a 6000di Pro though. You really should look into the M6 or something along that line. Let me know if I can help.
