Talking New to TreasureQuest

Hi all - my name is Paul - I'm new to TreasureQuest. Just started getting into metal detecting within the past few months. My interest started a lot longer ago though when I'd follow my uncle around with his metal detector and was amazed at what all you could find. I'm very interested in finding coins and old relics and I think there are an abundance of really good places to hunt here in the Tri-State area (Northern KY, SW Ohio, SE Indiana). I may ask some obvious questions from time to time so bear with me and hopefully I'll be able to post some good finds and join in on discussions.
Take care!
Paul

Welcome to both of you! Ask your questions. Any one here with a piece of knowledge will gladly share it with you. My only advice ( i have only been doing this a short time) is to research the spots you want to hunt and dig everything you hear, it will help you to learn your machine.

Thanks for all of the welcomes and well wishes everyone - I've been bitten by the bug and am thoroughly addicted now. Driving down the road, I'm always looking around and thinking "hey, I bet that'd be a good spot to detect" and I'm racking my brain thinking of old places in our area that would be good places to go. I bought my first pair of headphones last night and am eager to get out and see what I can find. I'm sure I'll be asking tons of questions so thanks in advance for being patient with me and helping me out. Take care everyone and good luck!
