Default new to TQ and to metal detecting

Hello to all. My name's David and I am from Dinwiddie, Virginia. I am an avid civil war buff an I have always been interested in relic and coin hunting. I just received my Fisher F75 detector yesterday from Kellyco.I have been going over the manual cover to cover to get an idea of how to get started with it. I am new to MD however, so any good tips that you guys can share would be great. Thanks.....

I would say that on top of practicing a whole heck of a bunch, that researching your site is probably the best thing you can do. Make sure you have permission to hunt, too. Oh yeah, get to know your machine and PRACTICE!! :)

Welcome to TQ

Welcome to the best MD forum. Don't get discouraged if you don't find a lot right away. I just started a month ago and I am still just trying to figure out what the heck my detector is saying. I am getting better so there is hope for us all
