Don't let the price or brand fool you into thinking your detector can't find your dream for you. They wouldn't stay in business long if they didn't work.
Plant yourself a test garden by puting coins of different denominations, pull tab, bottle cap, nail, washer, bolt and such about 3" to 4" deep in the ground, spaced away from each other, mark them with a golf tee or pizza box stand off (looks like a minature plastic table) and maybe label or mark them so you can remember what the item is. Use headsets! Practice going over them with your coil and "LISTEN" to the sound they make. Does it have a nice crisp sound, fade in to a loud beep and trail off, stutter, buzz, only beep from one direction or what? After a while you will automatically recognize the sound of the good targets. Practice with your test garden and listen to the sounds when you hunt your yard then the local park, ghost town, beach or whatever. Keep coming back to practice in your test garden. At first dig all targets to learn what the sound was, then with experience, you can start to decide which ones to ignore and which to dig. If your not sure, dig to confirm. Always fill your holes, and Always leave the area looking better than you found it. Don't dig any larger hole than necessary to extract your item. Don't go out with a garden spade in the park, use the small diggers or hand garden trowels offered by such dealers as you find in our sponsors section. That should get you off to a good start.
