Default Hello all...

Glad to be part of this awesome, addictive and fascinating site.Im detecting in Illinois,Indiana and Michigan.
So far all Ive got is about 8 cents in pennies between 1959-1968
the head of an old golf club and an interesting tag from a lawncomb (rake) which was produced between 1902-1930 (did research on the american hoe and tool company-it was still fun to research)
I own a house that was built in 1906-so when I have exhaustively dug up my entire lawn (which my wife thinks Im crazy for doin-she baught me this detector as a gift-now she has to yell out the back door when dinner is ready-I feel like a kid again-hehe) I intend to check some local areas for further finds. Anybody have any suggestions for near Chicago areas to detect? I know Chicago has some great areas-but everything is under so much cement!!!

Default bounty hunter

Its a bounty hunter 4 -it was a gift-but she's been pickin up lots of stuff-Im researching the Ace 250-lots of 100 year old homes in my neighborhood with the oldest golf course in the area out my back door-cool thing is its near a train station, these were all summer homes of downtown affluents and rumor has it most of the homes were renting rooms during the 1933 Chicago worlds fair.Lots of Old trees-lots of untilled-old dirt-Im new at this-but the more I read-the more I imagine all the people sitting on lawns-playing bocce-I even have a pic of my house from the 1910's with lawn chairs set up in the backyard-dreamin of the pocket spills-although the coins I have found-in pocket spill pattern-havent been any younger than 1967-the oldest has been 1948-and I figure that someone in 1948 has a better chance of dropping a wheetie or better than someone in 2007-so I guess Im on the right track.
I have priced jackhammers-but besides theyre wear on the wrists-Im sure they are against any MD mission statements-imagine filling those holes back to pre-dig condition !!!
