To me it is also much easier to pinpoint with and you don't seem to lose any noticeable depth.

Don't get me wrong the standard coil is a good one, but I (as some others) simply like the sniper coil better.

I don't even use the standard one since I got the sniper and the extra lower rod.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind for an Xmas gift.
