I'm from Somerset PA, I get to Brownsville on business a couple times every month. I would me more than happy to go hunting with you if you have some places to hunt. I don't know how much you will learn but I think I can show you how to find some coins.

You say you found your Dectector in the Trash. Does it work?

Hope to MD with you someday.

Hi and welcome!! A little tip for you and Riki727 if you want to get used to using your machines and find clad quick! Elamentary school play grounds in the woodchips is a great place to learn and find alot of quick coin clad!! You will have a good time in using your machines there and see the way each coin sounds and the difference in how trash sounds. each time I go I usually come out with at least 25 to 40 coins in a 1 to 2 hour outting. Well Good luck! and please post pics of your findings!!!

I'll definitely check out the elementary schools around here. I'm still not certain what public places I can search on and which I would need permission for. Do I have to get permission from school officials? What about public playgrounds? Is there a guideline somewhere?

I know I'd have to ask permission for private property...but what about seemingly abandoned homes/ruins? campgrounds? parks/recreation areas?

Thanks!

I thought I heard about this BoboandPooh awhile back.
Seems he's interested in other things other than metal detecting if you know what I mean. Don't hook up with this character.

Default Exactly Right

You hit it right on the head Greg. Got PMed by him today. Started out talking about trying this detector he found but went off in a whole different direction. Went along for awhile cuz he just gives you a little at a time but would not even get back to the subject we & this site is here for.
AVOID this guy like the plague !!!
Boboand Pooh= BAD NEWS

I was sorta wondering about his post. Sounds a bit inappropriate for this forum. Never knew metal detectors could be sexy!
