Tinman - don't let anyone tease you about the fishnets! As long as you keep your seams straight and your garter belt fastened, you're A-Okay!! As for me...I prefer leather chaps

Mirage - no, hubby doesn't have the same interest in detecting, though he is more than happy to take me places to hunt as long as there's something for him to do while he's waiting. That's why we spend so much time near creeks/ponds...so he can fish. He's a huge history buff, but all the places he'd like to take the detector we'd be banned from (like Gettysburg or the local battlefields). He tries to be supportive, but I swear if he doesn't stop calling me his "lil pirate" and offering to get me a parrot and an eye patch, I'm going to be wrapping my detector around his darling little neck!

Default Lol!!!

It sounds like your hubby is having fun teasing you for now!! He won't laugh for long once you find some valuebles like a nice ring or a cash spot or real old coin!! But it is nice that he is willing to go and sit while you do your hobby!! I commend him for that

Default "My" Railroad

Hey - this is cool. Was just looking around on the internet and found this site which has pictures of the railroad bridges on my property. Photos 7, 8, & 9 are photos of where the old trestle bridge used to be at the beginning of my road. Photos 10, 11, 12, & 13 are "my" bridges. Hmmm - makes me wonder when this guy was trekking all over my property taking pics of my bridges.

Newark

Guess at least now I have a starting point to do some more extensive searching.

Default He's A Keeper!

yeah - he knows how tough it is for me not driving or getting out of the house much, so he's pretty generous with his time on weekends even though I know he'd like nothing better than to just sit and relax after a rough week.

This site is wonderful...I'm meeting so many terrific people who are so willing to give of their time and knowledge. And the lack of competition between members is refreshing. I looked into another site and was sneered at for my "newbie" detector and status. Everyone here is genuinely excited about every find...large or small.
