Thanks again all,
I just got some awesome news from a friend of mine that owns a bunch of farmland in western ny. We just located 2 old homestead cellar holes with some of the foundations still there, and one with a hand dug well still visible. I won't be able to keep my pants on until Friday. My tail is waggin' hardcore.

Default Great Finds

Sounds like your on a real good roll. Good Luck on the Farm lands.
Thanks for the Pix. Sounds like you and your M6 are going to have a Great Relationship. I know how your feeling, I have an invitation to go hunt a Farm in Bellefonte PA and it's from 1855. I'm Chompin at the Bit to get there. Hopefully in the next couple weeks. I just got back from Mannasses Virginia, Was going to hunt a backyard there that was part of a battlefield but she had been gone & her tennants never cut the back for 2 months. The grass was a foot & a half high ( no big deal ) but lots of Bugs ( not to big a deal ) and Ticks & Snakes ( BIG DEAL For Me ) So I asked If I could come back when the weather cooled down and she said " No Problem ". Did hit a tiny patch righ off her deck and came up with 2 hotwheel Motorcycles, 1 Hotwheel Car, 2 Clads & 1 set of GM car keys that she believed belonged to her Dad who is now Gone. She asked if She could have the keys and I said It was my Pleasure to have found a momento of her Dads for her to keep. She was really Happy. Told me to come back anytime so it was a Good Hunt after all. You Just Gotta Love This Hobby !

Good Luck & HH.

Well, I got to get out to my site for a few minutes yesterday. Did a little more research and found two more homesteads that were there in 1867 but not in 1904, so I have alot of work infront of me. But anyway I only got to search for an hour or so, and I hate square nails lol, but I did find an early 1800's petal sleigh bell which was awesome, and it's in perfect shape. I'll keep you guys posted as to later finds(fingers crossed)

I'm getting the hang of this thing I think, I found a Benedict copper coin button from between 1812 and 1829. It's a plain copper front with gold inlay stamp on the back that reads BENEDICT TREBLE GILT. Sweeet, I know I'm in the right spot now. If anyone has anymore info on it I'd love to hear.
