Hi there bushlight.and welcome to TQ. You have found the best and
most friendly MD forum on the net. People are just great here. Looking
forward to seeing some of your finds. Geocaching sounds like fun, I always
wanted to try but I don't know just how to get started. Any pointers.

Well you need a gps it makes things alot easier.Go to Geocaching - The Official Global GPS Cache Hunt Site. Start an account it's free that way you can download waypoints.Heck just go and check the site out. They have alot of stuff there telling you about geocaching.Once you have downloaded all the waypoints around your area. Its time to go searching.Start with an easy one first if your gps has auto routing it will lead you there. If not use a map and a compass.Once you get within 20-30 feet away start looking for a good place to hid something.Look in logs, under logs, stuck to a sign,in a tree,a pile of rocks, any nook and cranny,or something that just dont look right.Once you find sign the log and trade an item out or just sign the log.I know i'm leaveing alot of stuff out just go to the link above it will tell you alot more.
