Default Hello

Well, bit the bullet. Been lurking around here and other treasure forums as well and decided to join you guys.
My name is John,I live in Northeastern Louisiana. Im a former avid bowhunter and lookin for somethin new. My dad use to coinshoot so I thought I would give it a try.
Geesh, I have a lot to learn. Thought it would be easy to get into but I cant even make a choice on a detector. Lots of choices, but Ill make a post on the help forum about that, lol. Anyways nice to be here.
John/Gator

Wecome to the site and the hobby. I hope you find a machine you are happy with. Look around and go to your local metal detector dealer and ask for a demo of their machines. Don't buy one because someone else says the certain model is the best. The best for one might not be the best for another. Good luck and don't be a stranger. Post away so we can get to know you.

Welcome to TQ from Colorado! I'm using a White's Prizm III...got it about a year ago...wasn't sure if I'd keep at it - so I went for a simple-to-use, middle of the road machine...I love it...turn it on and go! I also use a Vibraprobe 560 pin pointer...also, turn it on and use it...Wish you the best in finding a machine and happy hunting!
