Default new minelab user from Iowa

I purchased a minelab explorer xs last spring and I am still a little green, but my finds have been quite impressive. I live in NW Iowa and have many prime places to hunt. I have only come across one other minelab user and the info we shared helped me alot. I would like to get a club started here in the tri-state area of S.D.,IA.,NEB., if anyone is interested let me know. I will post pics of my finds from this summer as soon as I have the time and knowlege of how to do it , (still trying to figure out this computer stuff). Any help would be appreciated.!!

Hi Deano and welcome to TQ,

I had used and Explorer II for the last 4 years which I loved and made some great finds with, and got me hooked on Minelabs.

I recently upgraded to the SE and at the same time I purchased an Excalibur which so far only used one week at the beach and now love it also. The SE I haven't done much with except play with it in the yard a couple of times and took it once to a local park but got hailed on shortly after I got there. I'm planning to finally take it out this weekend.

While I never had an XS, I know that it's pretty similar to the Ex II and SE and it sounds like with the impressive finds that you made, you'll come to love yours also.

Good luck and look forward to your posts.
