Newbie in Clearwater area Fl. Excalibur 800
Good afternoon everyone,My name is Micheal.I lived in the Clearwater area for around 5 years now (Originally from Southwestern Pa....Here we go STEELERS here we go!).I purchased an Excalibur 800 at a garage sale and it also had the extended warranty.I started to use it one day at a local beach and had a blast.I'm hooked and have already fitted a hipmount for the rig.Would be interested in any local members getting together for "training" or diving.Nice to meet all you and will be listing my finds. Hi Michael and welcome to TQ.
I have the Excal 1000 and love it. I got a straight shaft for mine because I read about using the hipmount causes stress and possibly resulting in breakage to the cable so be careful. I really only used mine so far one week at the beach and was very impressed with it, I'm sure you'll love it. I wish I could get down there, but all of our trips to FL are to WPB to see our daughter and family.
