Congrats on the new detector! I have read some nice reviews on the Quattro. Good luck in the hunts with it, Beale.

Welcome. Florida is not too bad. You will not miss the cold weather for sure. I spent many years up north, worked outside alot and was cold a few times. Practice with your detector and like they said listen to it. Also try some playgrounds to get the feel for it. If you get around Fort Walton Beach area give me a yell. Good luck... Buster

Florida is a great place to MD! Especially if you are retired and free to move between coasts. The beaches are HOT! Good luck. Looking forward to you posts of finds. If you MD they will come.
Happy hunting.
