Default Wow!

What a response! THANKS Everyone. I just got home. No I wasn't out MDing. Just got back from Walmart and doing some local research. I have a small town a couple of miles away. The town came into existence truly around 1901 when the railroad came to town. They have a small museum in town so I paid them a visit. I wanted to see where the original train station had been. Well they had some pictures on the wall showing it. So now I know where it sat. I was also looking for a 14 stall roundhouse. No luck on that one. But I am looking forward to trying the station spot. Right now it appears to be a gravel parking spot between two sets of tracks. I'm excited!

This looks like a great web site. I look forward to asking questions. As far as my MD it's a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202. My wife and I were going to a B&B a couple of years back that was owned by a friend of hers. So we stopped at Walmart an got one on the way up. Well the grounds were the site of some Civil War activities. In fact wounded soldiers were treated in the house. I didn't find anything on that trip but it was fun looking. I will probably upgrade in the future but it's a starting point.

Thanks

Mark

Mark, WTG on the research, it will increase your odds greatly of finding something really cool. The 202 is a nice machine and capable of making some good finds. my brother in-law has one and tho he is 70 and had 2 stokes he still gets out a little and always goes home with something. When your ready to upgrade, talk to our sponsors, they are great and can help you with any questions or needs you may have. Glad to have you aboard!

Good Luck & HH.
