Default Lets Meet Sometime

Thanks so much for the great welcome Everyone!!! I feel right at home here after reading all the post. I plan this weekend to get out and hunt some on Edisto Beach with hubby. I have been to the local parks which are about 3 here. Found lots of coins, nothing so spectacular really. Daughter found a Euro on the playground. That was a nice find, whether old or new it was foreign, lol.

Anyone who gets to Walterboro, we would love to meet ya. If you are on Jefferies Blvd (main road running through town) look for the Pawn Shop. We own a sign shop in the OCC Plaza there. The name is Infinity Signs. Its like on your way out of town towards I-95.

Right now, they are putting a new bi-pass in through a residential area and we tried to get permission to detect in there but Beaufort County is responsible we are told for the construction and we tried to speak to the man in charge but he was in a meeting and didn't call back. We are thinking about just stopping by and running the detector anyway.... gosh, it's just located on the side of our road on 303. So,,, we wouldn't know of a place to take anyone right now. We will keep hunting and getting permission.

Ok, point me to where you post pictures of your finds. I have not found that area yet on the forum here.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgving to All!!!

Sonja

PS.... the lady from Beaufort on here, I tried to send you a PM but I can't seem to get it to work. It says I might not have persmission. I think your name was Sheri something. :)

I am so sorry Bill to hear about your wifes mother. That must be very hard to lose family during holidays, much less anytime during the year. Please send our condolences to her and the family.

Let us know when you plan to get this way ok? We were supposed to go to the beach detecting this morning but hubby isn't feeling well and it's soooo cold out there. I guess I could stand it a little while though. We'll see if it warms up some.

Went detecting yesterday in the parks here again. I found 3.17 all together. One coin was a goldish looking presidential dollar. This is the first president. Last week I found one with the 3rd president on it. Was going to try and buy these from the bank but they are sold in kits of one of each quarter, dime, nickel.... etc.... and that means if I wanted each new dollar I'd have to buy a new set for each presidential dollar I wanted. How lucky to find two already. I just wonder what these people are doing on the playgrounds with these collector coins?

I'll post the finds as soon as I get some of it cleaned up. Ever heard of using Ketchup to clean pennies?
