Hi Beale, I'm in Spotsylvania VA. I haven't had any luck lately finding any Civil War Relics but I hear they are finding some over near where the Wilderness battle took place. I was talking to a guy this weekend and he said they were finding some nice Confederate buttons somewhere down there in Petersburg where they dug up an old road bed.

Have freinds in Monasses VA. and actually went once this summer and was going to get on a freinds proprty at wich was part of a battlefield BUT had a Little problem with Snakes & Ticks so maybe next time when it's Cooler. What Detector are ya using for your Relic Hunting ? Your experience will help any of us new to that type of hunting. Glad To Have You Aboard !

Welcome Liz to TQ. I lived in Berryville for a few years back in the 80's. Wish I would have had a detector back then. I am really into the civil war and I would have loved it around there to hunt. Who knew. Happy Hunting...Buster.....

Hello Liz ! I used to live in Fredricksburg myself ! My Niece lives in Spotslvania.I used to live on an old farm behind the Spotslvania mall,It's now a subdivision called Goveners green.Found alot of cool relics back then !
