Hi Rip, I go the Fred 2 or 3 times a week. I had heard they fould alot of relics back there when they did the construction there and over at Central Park too. They are putting a road in on the old Courthouse rd. by the Po River. It's beside a farm. I've been wanting to ask the guy if I can hunt there but he's never home when I go by lol. I'm glad to meet you and I hope we talk again soon.

Nice to meet ya also Liz ! I was in the area when they built central park but never thought to detect it ! Also i had relitives that lived in a house that was were central park is now and never cheaked that ither ! The park was a golf cource at the time. If you were to get permission to search anywere in goveners green, there should be some good stuff there abouts still.Last i knew there were still woods out back of were the barn was and the silo and a small pond were still there. There were camps in thouse woods and also a small graveyard. We used to find some cool indian arrowheads there also.I found one once made from rose quartz that i gave to a good friend. While i was in VA i dident detect like i do now,boy what a dummy i was ! oh and also on Laf.Boulavard in a small field next to the Mobile ? gas station i found half of a 2 piece buckle and a friend found a Texas star button that he sold for 5 grand !

Oh Wow a Texas button!! That was a rare find. I got a promising spot I'm gonna hit out here in Partlow. Before hunting season I found a few flat buttons. I'm told that there use to be a campsite around there. Another spot I hit a few years ago out here in Partlow was call the DeJarnette place. I found a few Gardners there and my cousin knows a guy who found a US buckle there. He gave her that buckle. I think part of it has been sold and I dont know who owns it now. Well gotta get ready for work. Hope to talk to you again soon!!

Hi, Liz and welcome to TQ! I think you will enjoy it here. Take a look at the post in the Finds Forum titled "Ode to the Pulltab". Some really creative people here!

Hi Liz and welcome to TQ. Alot of helpful and friendly people here. Although with 17 detecting years, you'll probably be doing some of the helping .
