Welcome Yogi! :santahat: When you are ready, check out some of the sponsor sites. There are many to choose from. I got a great package from Kellyco. Good luck to you and awaiting your first "finds" posts. Take care!

Hi Yogi and welcome to TQ. By now you can see there's alot of helpful and friendly people here .

I had a White's and a Garrett years ago and can say nothing bad about them. I currently have a Tesoro Cibola and it's also a good detector and comes with a lifetime warranty.

I think most of today's detectors will serve you well, the important thing in what ever detector you choose is to really learn the machine.

Let us know which one you decide on and Good Luck!

Your friend with the Tesoro has the right idea. Take a look at the Tesoro Silver umax or the Cibola.

Hey Yogi & welcome to TQ, I have the Prizm III & love it, I would pay the extra $100 & get the III over the II, it has a depth finder which is very helpful, but a lot of people have the Ace 250 & seem to love it, either way you won't go wrong, good luck to you.
