I live in NE pa. We are done detecting here with 4ins. on the ground with a 2 in. ice cap. I came in because the forum looked interesting and friendly. I lke helping people so if you need some answers just ask. I have been at it for 7 years now. I just added an M6 to my arsenal, a backup for my XLT.
