Default Hello from U.A./ Upper Alabama

Just saying hello, looking to get a lot of information from this site. Just got Ace 250 and trying to learn the machine. Any books articles or something that might help.

Hi, jimknife and welcome to TQ! I never knew there was an upper Alabama!

Glad to hear you decided to take the plunge. You are in a great area for hunting and I hope to hear about your finds very soon.

Take a look at our Garrett forum area. There are quite a few Ace 250 owners here who can offer you some answers to any question you may have.

Also look at our metal detecting tips area for ideas about hunting and getting the most out of your time.

Good luck and happy hunting! :christmaswreath:

Welcome to TQ Jim! I am from CA and have also just purchased an ACE250. What helped me the most was getting out in the backyard and trying all the settings. I was finding everything from wires, pieces of soda cans to rusty nails and even a spark plug. Oh yeah, I even found two dimes!
