Welcome to the site David! Glad to have you on.

You have 2 very nice machines in your stable. I would for sure go back to that location and try the Vaquero in the same location. I wish you good luck with the site, Beale.

Smile New To MD'ing

Hello Fellow TQ'ers,

I'm so 'New' to this hobby that I still glow in the dark! and, for that very reason, my research has taken me many months before even thinking
of purchasing my first metal detector. However that moment has arrived &
I think the ideal beginners unit (for me at least) is in view. For a variety of
reasons, I've chosen to buy the Tesoro Cibola but may consider a Vaquero
because of the added Ground Balance knob. The thought of hunting in and
around water has come to mind as well and therefore the Fisher 1280X and
the Tesoro Tiger Shark have surfaced as ideal units. What I'd like to know
from those of you have been in the hobby for a long time and have learned
from past experience is: what your thoughts are concerning the above men-
tions units. I'm all ears!

Happy New Year!

Hi Dave,
Welcome to TQ and happy New Year. Sorry, I can't answer your question but if I know anything about TQ, there's someone who can.

All the best your way,
HL
