Thanks all for the warm welcomes! (tinman) I'm a few miles NE of Indianapolis. lol......and the "Jones" guy & I are cousins.....I taught him everything he knows

Regarding the 250, yep, I agree it's one great detector! The AutoMax V4 is a great PP as well, with the only drawback being it's physical size (making it alittle awkward to carry). I'd made a "holster" for it, I'll post pics of later.

In the 4-5 months I'd hunted, I was able to find a few interesting items, one of which was a 1978 class ring (trying to locate the owner), 5 additional rings, an old (Loyal) insurance tag, lots of clad, and I think 2 silver coins (dime & qtr).

My "hopes" for the upcoming season is my hunting partner & I getting a return on the research we've been doing. I'd like to find some old coinage (which I guess I consider myself mainly a coin-shooter) but certainly wouldn't scoff at some nice relics, or anything from the past.

I'll try & get a few of my finds posted in the next few days, and thanks again to everyone for the welcome!

HH

Welcome Smitty and Terri...I too, am an originally from Indiana - although I spent most of my life in Texas...I lived in the Aurora and Lawrenceburg area (SE Indiana - just west of Cincinnati, Ohio...) Looking back - I can think of MANY areas I'd like to hunt...maybe sometime I'll get the chance!
