Welcome to TQ! I bet you could make up a new hobby, dancing with your 'tector. I can't wait to hear what y'all find in NC. Get plenty of practice in before then, so you'll know your machine really well.

HI again and thanks again for all the warm welcomes..

The property in NC is south of fayetteville east of the cape fear river near the black river. Ms Joker's grandmas house actually has horse tracks on the wood floor from when Sherman took the house as his own on his way to bentonville.

someone asked about our detectors

Mr Joker has a Garrett 1500GTI
Ms Joker has a Garrett Ace250

My uncle recommended Garretts as he had always used them. I see many people here lean towards the whites line or explorer se.. sounds like all great models.

finding treasure is what counts!

thanks again and hope to talk to you more..

...just noticed something about Garrett's...they're the most commonly used hand-held detector used by the TSA at airport security checkpoints...

Man wouldn't I like to hunt a place like that. You should do well. I have hunted around Bentonville a little, nothing to show for it. Check this site out Joker it might help a little.

thanks for the link bbqcook great info there..

Ive spent the last few cold months here in michigan preparing for this hunt.

I happend to find a book called "No such army since the days of julius caesar" Sherman's Carolinas Campaign: from Fayetteville to Averasboro, that really put us in the right direction.

Being that Ms Joker is from that area, I was so happy to see her so excited to realize that shes walked those Hallowed grounds most of her life!!
