Talking Howdy Ya'all

Jim here from S.E. Kansas,just stoppin by to say hi.Kinda new to metal detecting but do have some past experience.My grandpa taught me the basics way bay when I was little.And now I am wanting to teach my son.We will be getting my first detector and his second(lost his first in the flood of 07).His will be the Fisher F2 and mine will be the Minelab X-70.

Welcome to tq..Jim I noticed you will be getting the minlab X70, but you posted you would be getting the Fisher F70 did you change your mind..or are you getting the new F70..Both will be a great hunter..I think the F2 is a good choice for your son, I have heard good things on the F2..I will be getting my daughter one well soon..james

My son is getting the Fisher F2 and I will be getting the Minelab X-70.Sorry about the confusion.I bought his first detector for him for Christmas of 06 from Gerry in Idaho and he highly recommended the 2 that we will be getting.

Sounds like a good choice..its farely new and gets great reviews..My daughter will have the F2 soon as well..And we all know the X70 is a proven great machine to have..happy hunting..Be sure to post a review on the F2..sarge1 on here has one and likes it..
