Welcome to the site Rodney! Glad to see you on the site. If you do not need a machine to go under water but just beach, land and the rest. I like the X-Terra 70 also. It is easy to use, has a beach mode, and allows you room to grow with.

Make sure to talk to our dealers they will be more than happy to help you. Good luck with the choice, Beale.

Welcome to the forum Rodney! There are plenty of folks here that are more than happy to help someone get the most from this hobby. I am new to MD'ing also and I have started with a Garrett ACE250 and it works great.

You can contact one of the forum's sponsors and they would be more than happy to help you pick one out. I got mine from Kellyco.

Hi, Rodney and welcome to TQ! Your questions are welcome and we can offer suggestions about what setector is right for you with an idea about what you are budgeting and if you want to be able to submerge your detector in water.

You can also look at our metal detector review area as well for rinformation from TQ members about their experiences with various machines.

Hi Rodney and welcome to TQ from another South Carolinian. So glad you joined us and we look forward to seeing your finds. Maybe all of us South Carolinians can hook up for a hunt soon.
