Hello Mike and welcome to TQ! I am not sure how far away from the beaches that you are but if not far I would start there. You can also try the city parks, ballfields, recreation centers or areas in your neighborhood. That's at least a start. I'm sure others will chime in to help you!

Hey Mike, welcome to a great site with a lot of great people, I'm north of you in Ft Walton Beach, we do have a couple other people on here down your way, also check school playgrounds, I've found tons of good stuff in them.

Have you tried searching the web?
I just did a quick search of Ocala and it's history and Man you are sitting on a gold mine. Tons of American and Spanish history in your area, just waiting for you to discover. My wife's aunt lives in Lady Lake and next time I visit I'm bringing the detector.
