Default Ohiotech here, with a Tiger Shark in tow

Hello folks. Just came across this site the other day, and am now adding it to my bookmarks for detector forums, research and other detector related info.

This is my first detector, got it a few weeks ago, and I might be able to get out on a maiden voyage this weekend if it really does hit 50 in Dayton. I got the bug to get a detector about 1.5 years ago, got burned on a deal through craigslist, and finally saved enough to get another machine. Good thing too, as I seem to have gotten quite a deal by all indications.

I bought my TS used, it has an 8" and an original Clean Sweep Coil, and I'm jonesing to use it NOW!

I intend on using it for land and water detecting, and already have some local attention to help get me up and running with my equipment on both land and in the water. Oddly enough, I asked someone about a wetsuit at work, they told me to talk to someone else around the corner, and 2 hours later I had a Large 3mil full suit sitting in my office... in EXCELLENT shape... for free. Now I just need some booties and I'm set for the spring waters at the lakes out here.

My ultimate goal is to go back to Puerto Rico (and live there if I could), and search the beaches around the island. It would appear that I will have to battle Steve in PR for my own grid. My dad, who is from PR, has some tales, and I'm going to grill him for the details of every one.

I've already done a bit of reading through the posts, and this seems to be a very good community. I hope to be able to slide in and become one of the crowd too.

Be well,

Martin
