Just joined...
I know some of you from other boards.
I'm faaus, a prospector/TH'er, orginally from upstate NY, now in KY (the state, not the jelly.) I bought (and still have) my first detector, a Whites coinmaster 4 in 1973. It found me several thousand NY coins and relics. The oldest was a 1787 8-Reale. Jim Sierra was a cult hero of many detectorists from those years. Glad to see the ol barber is still finding old barbers. I spent too much time working for much of the 80's and 90's, but bought myself a new Whites XL Pro 6000 to use during retirement. However a 30-day trip to the western states, and a good bit of prospecting, shifted my primary focus hard towards gold prospecting. I now also have a Whites GMT, and it is an excellent prospecting tool. I like the friendly group of folks on this site, and hope to get to know some more of you. faaus
