Default Hi from San Juan, PR

I'm a newbie. I've been interested in getting into MD and I'm just about to get started. I bought a White's DFX 300 and would like to do some Relic and beach hunting. Any tips and pointers on how to set this up for optimal results will be most gratefully appreciated

welcome to TQ!! the white's dfx is a great machine, and with the added depth of the 12" coil you should be doing some great relic hunting. for some tips first read the manual it comes with, and practice a lot with the machine, at first digging all signals to see what they correspond to. for some other pointers, check out the videos at white's website:

White's Electronics its on the top, under videos and then dfx instruction.

good luck!

Welcome nipalk! Sorr, can't really help you on that detector, but just recommend going out and getting familiar with it on a hunt or two. Others here will be able to help out a lot more on a Whites than I.

Thanks guys. I've been looking at the White's CDs. This detector has a lot of settings you can play with. I'm just about to head on to the beach to test it out. Thanks!

Welcome to Treasure Quest Nipalk...glad to have you here..I use a Whites XLT and it is a good machine for sure...read your manual and get some practice in...I would start in your own yard and then maybe try some Schools and play grounds...Just takes a little practice to understand what your machine is saying...after you learn it will get real easy...Happy Hunting and post your finds when you get them...Buster...
