Talking New to the Hobby

Hi, I'm Jack and I got my Bounty Hunter VLF at RadioShack two days ago.I've already found a Gruen stainless steel watch at the beach.I also found a cheap plastic ring with a sandal model on it.(Made in China)I live in Westchester,NY,so I might find some war stuff.
