Cool Hey there, New from Illinois, but in Norman, OK today

Hi All, am on vacation storm chasing (with no storms in the country to be found). So I have my metal detector with us, thought we would learn how to use it. We are currently in Norman, OK today and planning on renewing our wedding vows as it is our 20th anniversary as well.

We have no clue as to a spot to go detecting in. Any suggestions? Thank you from another newbie from Illinois.

i'd go check out the city park first . maybe investigate the area of town thats the oldest..i.e. the streets numbered one through ten. also go check out the ballfields.
