Default In Germany

Of course I'm new to the site and metal detecting. I'm currently in the Air Force and stationed at Spangdahlem, Germany. I was curious to know if anyone knows any laws or regulations for detecting here in Germany....There's just so much history.

Default Welcome

First of all WELCOME to our TQ FAMILY ! It's GREAT to have you with us.
My youngest Son just returned from Germany about 6 months ago. While he was stationed in Baumholder he went to his CO. Commander and there was no problem in obtaining permission for on base detecting. He also went to surrounding areas and gained permission from some of the town folks to detect also. The farmers around seem to be the best to get permission from. Hope this helps a little.

Hi, kpa, and welcome to TQ! I am glad you decided to join. I can't help you on the regs for Germany but I am sure you will be able to figure it all out!

Please make sure you add yourself to our TQ Buddy Map in the member Announcements section. It is the first post at the top inside that section. You'd be our first from Germany!

And, thank you for your service to our country!
