Default Marbles

Well since I haven't got a detector yet, and I've been to busy to get out and look for anything I was curious about something. Has anyone found any marbles detecting or privy digging? Or is there anyone out there interested in them. Would love to hear from you.

Thanks - John

I believe that I have a clay marble that I found up in Dover Delaware a few years back...Kinda thought it was stone, but have seen a few on here and think it is clay and kinda old..Maybe or maybe not. Might have to post a picture of that one to see.....Buster....

My dad finds them every year in his garden when he breaks the ground. Used to be an old house sitting there.

I've found quite a few while detecting and they are always a thrill
for me. I love finding the old benningtons. I dont privy dig anymore,
just because I cant find any and never found any marbles in them
when I did. But it seems like a good place to find them, kids as we all
know will put anything in their mouths .

Default I find them regularly

Some of the marbles are new and I would expect these were lost by kids playing with them at the beach. About half of the marbles I find are the type that were used in the old soda bottles between WWI and WWII. I used two of these old marbles to replace the eyes on the pirate skull banks that one of my men gave me to keep my clad in until I have enough for cleaning.

Cheers,

BDA
