Default New Gold Pan now available!

Hello everyone, I am now an authorized dealer for US Prospector gold pans. They are a very different design and I believe they will be a good tool in your quest for the yellow stuff. The price is right and the website for US Prospector is US Prospector - State of the Art Prospecting Equipment. If you ever need a gold pan or sluice John's Detectors also carries prospecting equipment. Ok I hope your pan turns yellow and God Bless.

Default New pans

Hi John,

Have you or anyone else compared these to the Trinity pan? I'd be interested in any side by side information.

Thanks!

Yes I would be happy to help you on this question. First I like the Trinity Bowl but the riffles can become clogged quickly by clay or mud. The US Prospector gold pan seems to be able to trap fine gold in a hurry and doesn't have all the riffles. Of course it is all in knowing how to use these pans. But I like the shape of the US Prospector pan and it is not as bulky as the Trinity. But I support all the Trinity Bowl pans including the Hex Pan too. It just comes down to what the panner is comfortable with, but I do like this newest gold pan by US Prospector. As cheap in cost as these pans are nobody is going to lose much if they don't like a particular one. Heck I carry all 3 with me in my pickup at all times. Ok I hope I didn't confuse you and click on the link in my first post to watch the demo video of the US Prospector pan. Thank you for the inquiry and God Bless.

Great! Thanks for the information & clarification. Sounds like they're really worth a look.

Guess you know you're hooked on prospecting when you have to rearrange your equipment to get another passenger in!! Oh yeah the dog gets dibs on the shotgun seat!

Unhappy Bed pans

They don't work very well, most reports are that they are too cold to the touch, don't trap gold very well at all. But on the other hand if you're a rock hound I understand they trap kidney stones better than all the other pans
