Default ash canyon

Well, yesterday i went up into Ash Canyon to check out the claim that the club i'm joining has. Interesting place, i must say. I need to get up there when there are fellow members around, as i'm not quite sure about where exactly to focus my search, however i do keep in mind that gold could be anywhere, theoretically. It's a promising place, i will say. At least it looks that way to me. On the way home coming down out of the canyon i spied a small run-off ditch/wash next to the road that had small rivlets of black sand so i pulled off and scooped a few shovel-fulls into a 5 gallon bucket to take home... Just enough to practise panning. It was exciting to just see the black sand in the pan ! Anyways...no gold but then i sure don't expect to find any yet. It was neat enough to just be on an actual gold claim! Take care everyoneand if you're detecting today... best of luck to ya! cory

Default hi

Yep...i guess a few have found flakes and as for nuggets i haven't heard. keep in mind that you cant believe everything you hear from folks and if anyone has found something good, chances are good they are keeping tight-lipped about it. If i just keep at it maybe i'll stumble upon something sometime. i really don't expect to find anything but you can never tell...they say it's up there so who knows... later!
