Default drywasher mods for fine gold recovery

Hi, just wanted to pass along ,,,a few things that i found that help to recover fine gold, when using a drywasher
first is to go to wally world and buy two small bolt on levels ,,$5.00
and at least 5 small but hard key chain rings,,,$2.00
now when you get home set up your drywasher on a very level surface ie,,garage floor,,kitchen floor,,you get the picture,,
now mount one level on the side of the top hopper,,
and the other on the back of the riffle box as seen in the pics below,
this will insure that when your in the feild you get set up level every time,(For example i run the front of my riffle box at 7 links of the chain, thats perfect for the type of material and air flow that i use, once you find the proper set up for your equipment, you will now be able to duplicate it time and time again),make sure you have them level befor you bolt them on,,
next most riffle boxes are attached with "s" hooks,,remove them and install the key rings as in the pics below,,,now that allows free float of the riffle box in any direction,,allowing for more vibration from the offset fan,,thus allowing the finer gold to settle quicker,,once you run your material the first time do a clean up and run the same material again,,if you see any gold the second time,,decrease the angle of the riffle box,,once you dial the angle in to recover the finest gold mark that link with some kind of marker i use a bread tie through that link now no matter how many times you move set up move again youll be set up to recover the finest material,,the only thing that would change the set up is the type of material you are working ie, moisture,,lenghty i know but it does work and takes the guess work or human error out of the picture,,
sorryall wont allow me to post pics,,i'll keep trying,,

Default drywasher mods pics

ok the first pic is of the first level on the side of the top hopper
the second pic is of the second level bolted to the back of the riffle box, these are two very important set up angles,(if the top of the hoper is set up just 1 inch lower in the feild then your not running at the fine gold set up,,thus these two levels keep you on track) this is also a good shot of the key rings attached ,,replacing the restrictive "s" hooks on the back of the riffle box,,the same is done in the front,,
the third is a pic of the front of the riffle box,,
and the forth is a close up of the gold recovered,,using a camera with a very good zoom freature,,
something worth noting is that i also replace the small 1/4 inch wing nuts for the legs with 1/4 knobs,,makes setting up fast and easy and if you drop one they're easier to find on the ground,,
hope this helps,,
