since illinois has many moraines that were glacial cut-could there be gold there too? anyone hear any stories of gold in Illinois?

you hit it deadonthehead,,,deadhead,,glacial cuts moved alot of material and gold back then,,alot of info on the net about the subject,,,i'll look in the gpaa mining claims guide and see if your in a good location,,,might be able to steer you in the right direction ,,,,

Hey deadhead,

Yep.....there's gold all across the midwest. It was brought down from up North during the different Ice Ages.

The best resource I have found, is a book by Chuck Lassiter called "Midwest Gold Prospecting". He knows his stuff for sure.
