Beginner’s spots in SW PA?

I’m just getting started in gold panning and was wondering if there are any good beginner spots around ohiopyle and Mt. Davis.

I have a friend who just asked me about panning in our area. He has done panning out West but was wondering about locations in this area. I'm interested in anything you hear.
