I would like to know what the differance is between Plasser gold and Wire gold Thanks!

My understanding of it is that placer gold is gold that has broken away from its host rock. Wire gold refers to gold that when it was formed/shot into its hosts rock it took the shape of small gauge fine wire. Wire gold can be found still trapped inside its host rock, or come in specimen form and placer gold form. One of the more popular places to find placer gold is on hillsides and stream beds.

Hey, I also wanted to say that gold still trapped inside its host rock is called "load gold". Drift mining is one of the ways to mine "load gold".
