Default 24 Kt Gold Club

24 Kt Gold Club are having more scrapes (or pushes) opening Oct 14th. If you live in Arizona or another nearby state- you might want to check out this club. A lot of nice gold nuggets have been found on these claims.

The club opened another successful push this past Sat. Over 100 members showed up to hunt on a little under five acres of newly scraped ground. As of last night- almost 40 nuggets were found with the largest being a little over 1/4 oz. More will continue to be found in the coming days.

Quite a few members are snowbirds who come to Az in the fall and winter months.

Snow birds are usually retirees who head to a warmer climate during the winter months to avoid the snow.

If you live in my town Santa Cruz..no need for Snowbirding ...well 2 years ago we di have some snow in January on top of the mountains.

Rich Hill in Arizona looks very intersting plus I am reading a lot about dry washing for gold...hmmm very interesting.

Well Steve...I am brand new to metal detecting and gold prospecting I admit that.....but...I met a guy at the Santa Cruz Mineral Show this weekend and he drywashes and showed my a rather LARGE vial of gold and a large display of nugget's ALL from drywashing....I'm going to keep my mind open to all methods of gold prospecting for now.

But I understand some have strong opinions about what will and what won't work and that's totaly fine .

God bless...

I'm not saying you can't find gold with a dry washer. You can -but I wouldn't waste my time at Rich Hill with one. RH is noted for large nuggets and the more ground you cover the better the chances of finding something big. You can't do the with a dry washer. Believe me- I spent a lot of time in that area and I know what works best.

It may work very good be profitable in other areas- but not Rich Hill.
