Default Gold Caches and Evil Spirits?

First of all, I want to state that I consider myself a skeptic. I trust in instruments and technology. With that said...

Some weeks ago, a man came to my work looking for me, someone told him that I had a metal detector. The guy asked me to go to his home because he saw white flames in his backyard, and his wife often hear noises, and someone told him that he may had a treasure in his backyard.

He called a guy who uses metal sticks to pinpoint the possible treasure, and this man dug a hole there, a 2 by 1 mts with 2.5mts deep.

When I arrived to the scene I noticed that the soil was extremely hard and compacted, so it wasn't very likely to be a trasure there, anyhow, I started the MD and as I feared, no signals. So I told the man that I needed that hole flat, so I'll be able to use the depth multiplier. He agreed, and cleared the place for me, so I used the Treasure Hound, and guess what!? I got a signal! So, I pinpointed and marked the spot. The man started to dig, and the signal continued there...

When we reached 2.0 mts, I switched to my 10.5 imaging coil, and the signal was still there, now with discrimination turned on... it marked a large object at 12 in or more, so we continued with the excavation, when we reached 2.50 mts, the signal simply vanished. I checked the walls, the soil that we dug, everything, and there was no more signal.

I was shocked! what was that signal then? It just couldn't be a malfunction, because I tested again and again while we were diging and the signal was everything but erratic. It was a solid signal, and it was even more clear when I started to use the imaging coil.

Here's where the strange comes up.

While we were digging (it took many days, because we just spend something like an hour each day), many strange things happened in that house... his wife heared twice the sounds and started to see some shadows, he started to feel cold and warm air while he was intending to sleep. I never saw or felt anything.

However, someone else told this guy that treasures "move", of course this was a ridiculous idea. BUT, how on earth could that signal dissapear? It would not worry me if I were only working in all metal mode, because the signal could have been mineralization, hot rocks, etc. But in discrimination? I mean cīmon...

So, the mischievos evil spirits move the treasure so we couldn't be able to find it? or it was the spirit of the old man who burried the treasure there 100 years ago?

Default same here

Hi this is tracker same thing happened to me in Mexico found a signal stated digging always checking. We dug up about 1.5 meters and when I reckecked the signal again it was gone. The elders arround told me that you should not talk while digging a treasure because it will get deeper. Believe it or not. Another explanation is the halo effect it may well be that I was getting the halo and may be that the target was big therefore had a big halo arround it and my detector wouldn't pick the signal of the real target but I picked up the signal of the halo on top of the ground and could not pick up the target after all that digging does not sound reasonable unless it's abig target burried very deep. When you get the halo signal and dig as soon you get through the thicknes of the halo you break the continuity and the signal is gone.
