Default Gold ?

Hi ,
Pat i dont think that gold will be in granite,looks like fools gold in granite too me.

It just doesn't have the right yellow color for gold. Looks more like pyrite. Nice mineralogical specimen though!

Iron pyrite (fools gold) is the most likely culprit.
